Dengie Hundred Sports Centre, Millfields, Station Road, BURNHAM-ON-CROUCH. CM0 8HS
Experience a 10K like no other, taking in coastal paths on the sea wall of the Dengie peninsula, adventurous trails across open countryside, and great start and finish sections through the main streets of the town.
This flat, single-lap, super-scenic course is suitable for complete beginners to old-timers and is so much more memorable and enjoyable than any typical road 10K.
Starting and finishing at the Dengie Hundred Sports Centre, free parking, changing, and toilets are available, with lots of space to bring friends and family to spectate, play at the park and indulge in post-run food and drink.
Organised by The Rotary Club of Burnham-on-Crouch and Dengie Hundred, and delivered by The Race Organiser, you'll love the friendly, local atmosphere and support and find yourself a new favourite race to return to each year.
Entry on the day will be subject to availability.
This event will not be licensed.
Bib numbers are available for collection at the event only, participants should not expect to receive anything by mail.
Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.
All finishers will receive a medal on completing the event.
Pacers will not be offered at this event.
Suitable medical cover is provided at our events in case of a medical emergency.
Whilst we recommend bringing as little as possible, participants can leave essential belongings with us using the tear-off baggage strip on their bib.
Event images are expected to be available, provided by Rotary Club volunteers.
Water will be available on the route approximately every 3K.
Toilets will be available in the sports centre for use throughout the event. Toilets will not be available on the route.
Changing rooms will be available in the sports centre.
This event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the terrain on some parts of the route and some inaccessible pathways.

Spectators are permitted at this event.
Noise-cancelling earphones/headphones are prohibited and, whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones in running events, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a low enough volume that instructions from event officials can be clearly understood.
Participants must not be accompanied by a personally owned or controlled dog during an event. Entries may be accepted from participants with medical assistance dogs, subject to them being correctly registered and identifiable as such, and subject to prior approval by the Event Director.

Burnham is served by a branch line via Wickford on the London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria Line. Trains from London run at regular intervals.
Bus Services are provided from Chelmsford, Maldon and Southend by First Bus.
Burnham-on-Crouch is sited on the Dengie peninsula in Eastern Essex, with main approaches from South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford or Maldon. The main routes in from the M25 in the west include the A12, A13 and A127 all connecting to the A130. On the A130 at the Rettendon Turnpike junction take the A132, B1012 and B1010 into Burnham. Just past the Ormiston Rivers Academy on the left, at the T-junction, turn right into Station Road, the B1021. Continue down this road - the high road - and turn right at the library, continuing past the Sport Centre to Riverside Park.
